Rashid Khan Sets World Record for Most Wickets in T20 Cricket

Afghanistan’s star spinner Rashid Khan has achieved a rare milestone, setting a world record for the most wickets in T20 cricket. Playing for MI Cape Town in the SA20 League in South Africa, Rashid took two wickets in a match against Paarl Royals. With this, his total tally of wickets across international T20s and franchise leagues has reached 633.
Among these, Rashid has taken 161 wickets for Afghanistan in international T20 matches, while securing 472 wickets in domestic and various T20 leagues worldwide.
In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Rashid Khan represents Gujarat Titans, having previously played for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
West Indies' former all-rounder Dwayne Bravo now ranks second on the all-time T20 wicket-takers list. Bravo, who played 582 matches, has taken 631 wickets in the format.
