FIR Filed Against Delhi Chief Minister Atishi

Delhi Police have registered a case against Chief Minister Atishi a day before the Delhi Assembly elections. The FIR was lodged at Govindpuri police station, alleging that she violated the Election Code of Conduct.

According to a senior police official, Atishi was seen in Fateh Singh Marg with a convoy of 10 vehicles and a group of 50 to 70 supporters, prompting police action. Authorities stated that they had instructed her to vacate the area in compliance with election guidelines, but she allegedly obstructed them from carrying out their duties.

Responding to the FIR, Atishi took to her X account and accused Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Ramesh Bidhuri and his family of openly engaging in attacks. She further alleged that the Election Commission had not taken any action against them and criticized the commission for its inaction.

Delhi has a total of 70 Assembly constituencies, and polling is scheduled to take place in a single phase on Wednesday.
