Thief Built ₹3 Crore House for Actress Using Stolen Money

A notorious thief spent his illicit wealth on an actress, constructing a ₹3 crore luxury house for her and gifting a ₹22 lakh aquarium to enhance its appeal. The revelations came to light during the interrogation of the suspect, leaving the police astounded.
According to the Bengaluru police, the accused, identified as Panchakshari Swami (37) from Solapur, Maharashtra, had been involved in thefts since childhood. By 2009, he had established himself as a professional burglar, amassing crores through criminal activities. In 2014-15, he became acquainted with a well-known actress and spent extravagantly on her. He reportedly built a lavish house worth ₹3 crore in Kolkata for her and gifted a ₹22 lakh aquarium.
In 2016, Swami was arrested by Gujarat police in connection with a theft case and was sentenced to six years in prison. After serving his sentence, he moved to Bengaluru last year and resumed his criminal activities. On January 9, he committed a theft in the Madiwala area, leading to an investigation that resulted in his arrest. The details he revealed during questioning stunned the police.
Swami specialized in stealing gold and silver ornaments, melting them down into biscuits. So far, authorities have recovered 181 grams of gold, 333 grams of silver, and various equipment from him. Despite financing a luxurious house for his actress acquaintance, Swami himself resided in his mother's home. Police further disclosed that the bank had issued auction notices for the house due to unpaid loan installments. Swami is married and has a child.
Authorities are now searching for an accomplice who allegedly aided him in his crimes.
