BRS MLAs Who Joined Congress Issued Notices
The Secretary of the Legislative Assembly, Narasimhacharyulu, has issued notices to the BRS MLAs who recently joined the Congress party. The notices direct the legislators to submit a written explanation regarding their defection. These notices have been served to all the MLAs who switched parties. However, the legislators have sought additional time to provide their responses.
A total of ten MLAs have joined the Congress party. They include Kadiyam Srihari, Danam Nagender, Kale Yadayya, Prakash Goud, Gudem Mahipal Reddy, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Tellam Venkata Rao, Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy, Arikepudi Gandhi, and Sanjay Kumar.
Following their defection, the BRS party lodged a complaint with the Assembly Speaker, urging action against them. However, as the Speaker has not taken any action yet, BRS leaders have approached both the High Court and the Supreme Court seeking intervention.
