Jaya Bachchan's Shocking Allegations on Kumbh Mela Stampede Incident

Samajwadi Party (SP) MP and veteran actress Jaya Bachchan has made sensational allegations regarding the recent stampede at the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela. Speaking to the media in the Parliament premises on Monday, she criticized the Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, for its handling of the event.

The stampede, which occurred last month, resulted in the deaths of 30 people and left more than 60 injured. Jaya Bachchan alleged that the bodies of those who died in the tragedy were dumped into the river, contaminating the water of the Kumbh Mela site. She further accused the government of failing to make adequate arrangements for the safety of devotees attending the religious gathering.

Opposition leaders, including SP President Akhilesh Yadav, also raised concerns over the incident in Parliament. They alleged that the actual number of casualties was being suppressed by the state government and demanded a discussion on the issue in the House.
