Farmers' Association Sends Legal Notice to KCR Over Assembly Absence

Hyderabad: The Federation of Farmers’ Associations in Telangana has sent a legal notice to former Telangana Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), questioning his absence from the state assembly despite holding the position of Leader of the Opposition. The association has urged that KCR be removed from the post if he fails to fulfill his responsibilities.
In the notice, the association stated that KCR had failed to perform his duties as the opposition leader and, therefore, had lost the eligibility to continue as a legislator. Federation General Secretary Vijay Pal demanded KCR's disqualification and called for his active participation in assembly proceedings to address public issues. "If he does not fight for people's problems in the assembly, he should be removed as the opposition leader," he said.
The association also urged authorities to summon KCR and seek an explanation for his absence from the legislature. Advocate Padhuri Srinivas Reddy, representing the association, sent the legal notice to KCR via email and speed post.
