Telangana Assembly Special Session Rescheduled for February 4

The Telangana Assembly special session has been rescheduled to take place a day earlier than originally planned. The session, initially set for February 5, will now be held on February 4, as per an official announcement by Telangana Legislative Assembly Secretary Narasimhacharyulu.
Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy had earlier stated on February 1 that a cabinet meeting was scheduled for February 5 to discuss caste census and Scheduled Caste (SC) categorization issues, followed by a special assembly session. However, with the revised schedule, the cabinet meeting will now take place on the morning of February 4 at 10 AM under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
During this meeting, the Backward Classes (BC) sub-committee’s caste census report and the one-member commission’s report on SC categorization will be presented to the cabinet. The ministerial council will deliberate on these reports and make necessary decisions.
Following the cabinet meeting, the Telangana Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council special sessions will commence at 11 AM. The reports will be tabled in both houses, where discussions will be held on their contents and implications.
