Four Killed, 14 Injured in Major Road Accident on Tirupati-Chennai National Highway

A tragic road accident occurred near Nagari town in Chittoor district on Sunday night, resulting in the deaths of four people and injuries to 14 others. The incident took place when a private travel bus was hit by a speeding lorry while returning from a wedding ceremony.
The victims, residents of Seetharampuram village in Vadamalapet Mandal, Tirupati district, had attended a wedding in Tiruttani, Tamil Nadu. As their bus attempted to overtake another vehicle near Nagari, a lorry approaching from Puttur collided head-on with it.
Among the deceased were Parthasarathi Naidu (70) and Rajendra Naidu (65) from Seetharampuram, Dhanush (10) from Tirupati, and Kumar (55) from Tiruttani. The injured individuals were immediately taken to Nagari Government Hospital for treatment.
Following the accident, traffic on the Tirupati-Chennai National Highway was severely disrupted. Authorities cleared the damaged vehicles from the road and restored normal traffic flow.
