Chandrababu Campaigns for BJP Candidates in Delhi, Criticizes AAP Government

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu arrived in Delhi to participate in the campaign for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. He actively campaigned in support of BJP candidates, receiving a grand welcome at the airport. After reaching his official residence at 1 Janpath, he proceeded to various campaign locations, particularly focusing on areas with a significant Telugu-speaking population. During his speeches, Chandrababu Naidu urged Telugu residents in Delhi to vote for BJP candidates and delivered his addresses in Telugu.

During his speech, Chandrababu Naidu strongly criticized the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), stating that the party had failed to fulfill its promises, whereas the central government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi had delivered on its commitments. He accused the AAP government of failing to provide clean drinking water, asserting that the Modi-led central government was supplying safe drinking water through the Amrit scheme. He described the AAP government as incompetent, alleging that despite receiving central funds, it had not utilized them effectively.

Chandrababu Naidu questioned the deteriorating condition of Delhi, stating, “Who is responsible for the stench across the city?” He criticized AAP for failing to clean the Yamuna River despite promising to do so for the past ten years, asserting that only Prime Minister Modi could achieve this task. Highlighting Delhi’s pollution crisis, he remarked that even attendees at his rally were eager to leave due to the poor air quality.

"We don’t need opportunistic politicians or those focused on building palaces for themselves. We need leaders who work for the people. If you want development, vote for BJP. Support the lotus symbol. Elect Sanjay Goel, the BJP candidate here. In Andhra Pradesh, people placed their trust in our alliance, voted out the YSR Congress Party, and chose a double-engine government. Within six months, we have laid the foundation for development worth lakhs of crores. Now, do you want another ineffective AAP government here, or do you want a double-engine government in Delhi as well?" Chandrababu Naidu said in his speech.
