Team India’s Young Opener Abhishek Sharma Slams Record T20I Hundred

Indian opener Abhishek Sharma delivered a sensational performance in the final T20I against England, scoring a blistering century off just 37 balls. The left-handed batsman took 17 balls to reach his first 50 runs and another 20 balls to complete his hundred.
Despite facing England’s formidable pace attack, including Jofra Archer and Mark Wood, Abhishek Sharma dominated the bowling attack with a flurry of boundaries. He was particularly ruthless against England’s spinners, hitting massive sixes and dismantling their line and length.
This century marks the second-fastest T20I hundred against a full ICC Test-playing nation. Previously, Rohit Sharma and David Miller (South Africa) had registered centuries in just 35 balls.
As of the 12th over, Team India stands at 161/3, with Abhishek Sharma unbeaten on 102 and Shivam Dube batting on 14. Abhishek’s innings include five fours and ten sixes, showcasing his aggressive stroke play.
