Rahul Gandhi Criticizes Union Budget 2025

Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, reacted to the Union Budget 2025, presented today by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), he criticized the budget without acknowledging its positive aspects or shortcomings, stating that it was akin to "applying a band-aid to bullet wounds."

Rahul Gandhi alleged that the budget reflected what he described as the government's "bankrupt thinking." He wrote, "The budget is like a band-aid on bullet wounds. The world is facing instability, and in such times, India needs to strengthen its economic position. However, the government is engaging in bankrupt thinking."

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the budget, calling it a reflection of the aspirations of India's 140 crore citizens.
