Manda Krishna Issues Ultimatum to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy

Manda Krishna Madiga, the founder-president of the MRPS (Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi), has issued an ultimatum to the Telangana government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy regarding the classification of Scheduled Castes (SC). The preparatory meeting for the "Laksha Dappulu, Vela Gonthulu" (One Lakh Drums, Thousands of Voices) protest was held on Friday at Sumangali Function Hall in Suryapet district.
Speaking at the event, Manda Krishna Madiga announced that their agitation against the Congress government was about to begin. He demanded that the Revanth Reddy government take a decision on SC categorization by February 7 if it intends to honor its promise. He warned that if the government fails to act by this deadline, a "Madiga tsunami" would hit Hyderabad, and no one would be able to escape its impact.
Manda Krishna Madiga alleged that despite a Supreme Court ruling, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had promised in the Assembly that Telangana would be the first state to implement SC categorization. However, even after five months, the government had not fulfilled its commitment, he criticized. He explained that this was the reason behind calling for the "Laksha Dappulu, Vela Gonthulu" agitation. He stated that if the chief minister honored his promise, there would be no need for their protest on February 7.
He expressed frustration that while some states had already implemented SC categorization, Telangana had failed to do so. He accused political leaders from the Mala community of pressuring the government to delay the process, which, he claimed, had resulted in unemployment and suffering for many Madiga youth. Issuing a stern warning, he stated that those obstructing SC categorization would face dire consequences in the future. He further asserted that if the government continued to heed such pressures and refused to implement categorization, the Revanth Reddy administration would collapse.
