This Time, Mahanadu to Be Held in Kadapa District; Dates Finalized: Atchannaidu

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has decided to hold its prestigious Mahanadu event in Kadapa district this year. The decision was taken during the party's Politburo meeting, chaired by TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Friday. Following the meeting, senior party leader and Minister for Agriculture K. Atchannaidu briefed the media about the key resolutions passed.
Atchannaidu stated that the Mahanadu will be a three-day event in Kadapa, with resolutions being passed on May 27 and 28, followed by a massive public meeting on May 29. He also announced that Chandrababu Naidu will be re-elected as the party's national president during the event.
The Politburo decided to establish a special tribunal to take action against those who committed offenses during the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) regime. Additionally, the party resolved to nullify illegal cases filed by the YSRCP government within a stipulated timeframe.
Regarding the AgriGold scam victims, Atchannaidu stated that the government is considering compensating them with land in lieu of pending payments.
He also mentioned that legal aspects are being examined to restore the 10% reservation quota for Backward Classes (BCs) in local bodies, which had been reduced earlier. Furthermore, by June, the government plans to implement three more promises from its Super Six election pledges.
Key welfare initiatives discussed in the meeting include:
Releasing funds for "Talliki Vandanam" and implementing it from the next academic year.
Providing ₹20,000 to fishermen during the fishing ban period.
Fulfilling all election promises, reaffirming the government's commitment to their implementation.
Atchannaidu emphasized that every commitment made during the elections was deliberated upon and that the government remains dedicated to delivering on them.
