BCCI to Honor Sachin Tendulkar with Lifetime Achievement Award

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to honor legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar at its annual awards ceremony tomorrow. According to BCCI sources, Tendulkar will be presented with the "C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award of the Year - 2024."

BCCI officials stated that Tendulkar's contributions to Indian cricket have been immense, making him a deserving recipient of this prestigious award. With this, the former cricketer will become the 30th Indian player to receive this honor. Last year, the award was presented to former Indian coach Ravi Shastri and veteran cricketer Farokh Engineer.

Sachin Tendulkar, 51, had an illustrious international career, playing 664 matches across all formats. He holds the record for the most centuries in both Test and One-Day International (ODI) cricket. His career statistics include 200 Test matches, scoring 15,921 runs, and 463 ODIs, amassing 18,426 runs. Additionally, he played a single T20 International. Over his long career, Tendulkar scored 100 international centuries and took 201 wickets.
