India’s U-19 Women Secure Final Berth with Convincing Win Over England

India’s Under-19 women’s cricket team secured a spot in the final of the Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup in Malaysia with a commanding victory over England in the second semifinal. Chasing a target of 114 set by England, India lost just one wicket and reached the target with 30 balls to spare.
Openers Gongadi Trisha and Kamalini led the Indian batting charge. Trisha scored 35 runs, while Kamalini remained unbeaten on 56, anchoring the chase. The duo forged a 60-run partnership for the first wicket, setting the foundation for an easy win. After Trisha’s dismissal, Kamalini continued her aggressive approach, smashing seven boundaries in her 47-ball half-century and staying at the crease until the end to guide India to victory.
Earlier, England won the toss and opted to bat but struggled against India’s disciplined bowling attack. They managed only 113 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their 20 overs. Opener Perrin top-scored with 45, while captain Norgrave contributed 30, but the rest of the batting lineup faltered.
Among Indian bowlers, Parunika Sisodia and Vaishnavi Sharma claimed three wickets each, while Ayushi Shukla took two. Sisodia, who conceded just 21 runs in her four-over spell while picking up three crucial wickets, was named the Player of the Match.
India will now face South Africa in the final as they aim to clinch the championship title.
