This marks his return to the Ranji Trophy after nearly 12 years, as he seeks to regain his form following recent struggles. However, Kohli failed to make an impact, getting dismissed for just 6 runs off 15 balls, leaving thousands of fans disappointed.
Fans had arrived in large numbers to watch Kohli bat, but his early dismissal led to a mass exodus from the stadium. Since Kohli will only get another chance to bat after Railways completes its second innings, spectators, realizing the unlikelihood of seeing him bat again in this four-day match, chose to leave.
