Viral Story:Youth Credits Girlfriend for ₹40,000 Profit at Maha Kumbh Mela

A young man in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, has earned ₹40,000 in just one week by selling neem sticks to devotees attending the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela. The event, which began on January 13, has attracted millions of pilgrims from across the country for a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam.
The young vendor’s story came to light when an influencer interviewed him, revealing that he started the business without any initial investment. He stated that the key to his success was walking long distances to find more customers. He credited his entire success to his girlfriend, who had given him the idea to sell neem sticks at the grand religious gathering.
A video of the young entrepreneur was shared on Instagram by a user named Adarsh Tiwari, quickly gaining viral attention with over 600,000 likes. Many netizens praised the young man's honesty and hard work, while also appreciating the role of his girlfriend in his success.
According to the Yogi Adityanath government, as of Wednesday, nearly 270 million devotees had taken a holy dip in the sacred waters during the 45-day-long Maha Kumbh Mela, which will continue until February 26. Authorities estimate that around 400 million people will participate in the event.
However, the massive congregation led to a tragic stampede at the Sangam Ghat in the early hours of Wednesday, coinciding with Mauni Amavasya. Due to the overwhelming crowd, a stampede occurred, resulting in the deaths of 30 people.
