Six Arrested in Suryapet Honor Killing Case

Suryapet police have arrested six individuals in connection with an honor killing case that took place in the district. The arrested individuals include Bhargavi's two brothers, Naveen and Vamshi, their grandmother Buchamma, and their father Saidulu. Additionally, Naveen’s friends, Bairi Mahesh and Sai Charan, have also been taken into custody.

According to the police, Vadlakonda Krishna and Bhargavi had a love marriage six months ago, which allegedly angered Bhargavi’s family. Her brothers are accused of killing Krishna as an act of revenge. On Monday, Krishna’s body was found near the Pillalamarri canal bund.

Investigations revealed that Naveen had repeatedly threatened Krishna. The police stated that Bhargavi’s family members, along with two others, conspired to kill him and had been planning the murder for the past two months. Initially, they intended to carry out the attack on January 19, but it did not materialize. Finally, the murder was executed on Sunday.

The police disclosed that Krishna was killed on Sunday night at a farmland belonging to one of the accused near Janagam Cross Road in Suryapet. After the murder, the perpetrators transported the body in a car, driving around until dawn. Eventually, they abandoned Krishna’s body near the Musi canal bund in Pillalamarri before fleeing the scene.
