AP Police Issue Fresh Notices to Ram Gopal Varma

Controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has once again been served notices by the Andhra Pradesh police in connection with a case involving objectionable social media posts about Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and the present Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Jana Sena Party chief, now Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, and the present Minister Nara Lokesh. The Ongole Rural Police in Prakasam district have issued the notices via WhatsApp, summoning him for questioning on February 4.

However, Varma has reportedly informed the police that he will be busy with a film shoot on that day and is considering appearing for questioning on February 7.

Previously, the police had issued two notices to Varma, but he did not appear for questioning. Following this, he approached the High Court, which granted him anticipatory bail. The court also directed him to cooperate with the investigation and attend questioning when summoned by the police.

In light of these directives, the police have now issued fresh notices to Varma, reiterating their summons.
