'Panjaa' Director Vishnu Vardhan Open to Directing Akira Nandan in a Film

Kollywood director Vishnu Vardhan has expressed interest in working with Akira Nandan, son of actor Pawan Kalyan, if the opportunity arises. Vishnu Vardhan, who made his Telugu debut with the film Panjaa starring Pawan Kalyan, made these remarks during a press meet held ahead of the release of his latest film, Premistava, which is set to hit theaters on the 30th of this month.

Amid recent speculation about Vishnu Vardhan directing a film featuring Akira—either as a sequel to Panjaa or a standalone project—a journalist asked him about the possibility. Responding to the question, Vishnu Vardhan stated, "I do not plan projects in advance. Everything needs the right timing. Even Panjaa was not something that was pre-planned."

Addressing why he has not directed another Telugu film since Panjaa, he explained that although he received offers, he was occupied with other projects. He cited reasons such as his commitments to Bollywood and the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. He added, "If I don’t make another Telugu film, my mother won’t let me off the hook."
