Megastar Chiranjeevi has lauded Ramdev Rao’s efforts in establishing the eco-friendly Experium Park, stating that while valuable land could be used for real estate ventures, Rao has instead dedicated it to an environmental cause. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held today, Chiranjeevi said, “Ramdev Rao has brought valuable plants to Hyderabad, creating an extraordinary space.” The event was graced by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who officially opened the park, and several other notable figures.
The Experium Park, located in Poddutur in Ranga Reddy district, spans 150 acres and features 25,000 plant species, many of which have been imported from 85 countries. The park houses rare trees and plants valued between ₹1 lakh and ₹3.5 crores. Several prominent personalities have already purchased plants from this unique facility. Over six-and-a-half years, Ramdev Rao painstakingly developed this park, which also includes a rock garden, an amphitheater with a seating capacity of 1,500 people, and other attractions.
During his address, Chiranjeevi reminisced about his earlier acquaintance with Ramdev Rao and the plants gifted to him by Rao when he was building his house. “The plants I received from Ramdev bring immense joy to me every time I see them in my home. It is commendable that such rare and beautiful plants have been brought to Hyderabad. Ramdev doesn’t think like a businessman; he is an artist,” he said.
Chiranjeevi also shared how Ramdev Rao envisioned this park years ago. “I was among the first to hear about this project back in 2000. Since 2002, I have been sourcing plants from Ramdev. Many of the trees and plants at my home come from him. While these 150 acres could have been used commercially, he chose to bring diverse plant species here from across the globe, making him more of an environmental artist than an entrepreneur.”
Expressing awe at the park, Chiranjeevi remarked, “Both I and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy were amazed by the beauty of this park. I even joked with Ramdev about using it as a shooting location for my films, and he agreed, provided my film would be the first one shot here. However, shooting under this sun might be tough; the monsoon season would make the greenery even more breathtaking and ideal for filming. This location is also perfect for weddings, receptions, and other events.”
Chiranjeevi further appreciated the Chief Minister’s presence at the event, despite his busy schedule, emphasizing its importance in promoting environmental conservation. “It’s encouraging to see such initiatives receive recognition and support from the government. This park has the potential to become a major tourist attraction,” he added.
Chiranjeevi called for continued governmental support to ensure the sustainability and growth of projects like the Experium Park, which he described as a milestone in environmental and cultural preservation.
