Phone Tapping Case: Another Sensational Revelation Emerges

A new sensational development has surfaced in the phone tapping case alleged to have occurred during the previous government’s tenure. Accusations had earlier emerged that phones of opposition leaders and several celebrities were tapped. Now, it has come to light that the phone of Tripura Governor Nallu Indra Sena Reddy was also tapped. Reports reveal that the phone number registered in the name of his Officer on Special Duty (OSD), G. Narasimhulu, was allegedly tapped by the Telangana Special Intelligence Branch (SIB).

Authorities, who discovered that Narasimhulu’s phone had been tapped, summoned him for questioning two days ago. Sources indicate that Narasimhulu claimed he was unaware of his phone being tapped until now. Officials believe the details of who ordered the tapping of this number can only be clarified by interrogating Prabhakar Rao, the prime accused in the case, who is currently believed to have fled the country.

Notably, during the same period, allegations had also surfaced that the phones of the then Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and a High Court judge couple had been tapped.

Investigations further revealed that Narasimhulu’s phone number was added to the tapping list just days before the Telangana Legislative Assembly elections held in November 2023. Indra Sena Reddy, a prominent BJP leader, has a strong rapport with senior party members. He served as a three-time MLA, state party president, national secretary, and BJP floor leader in the undivided Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. On October 18, 2023, he was appointed as the Governor of Tripura.

It is alleged that Prabhakar Rao’s team tapped Indra Sena Reddy’s phone to gather sensitive information, anticipating that significant political secrets could be uncovered through such actions.
