Jagan Case: I Was Pressured to Become an Approver, Says Vijayasai Reddy

Vijayasai Reddy, who recently resigned from his Rajya Sabha membership, submitted his resignation letter to the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. Following this, he made critical statements while addressing the media.

Vijayasai Reddy revealed that he faced significant pressure from various individuals to become an approver in the case involving Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He alleged that after the coalition government came to power in Andhra Pradesh, a case was filed against him concerning the Kakinada Port issue. He also claimed that lookout notices were issued against him and emphasized that he had no connections with K.V. Rao. Furthermore, Vijayasai Reddy denied sending Vikranth Reddy to meet K.V. Rao and clarified that the Crime Investigation Department (CID) had not summoned him for questioning.

He remarked that his resignation would benefit the coalition government. Vijayasai Reddy posed a rhetorical question, asking why anyone would withdraw cases against him if he became politically irrelevant by stepping away from politics. He mentioned that he would reconsider launching a news channel. Regarding his personal assets, he disclosed owning one house each in Bengaluru and Vijayawada and an apartment in Visakhapatnam.

Vijayasai Reddy denied receiving any promises regarding a BJP Member of Parliament position or a Governor’s role from anyone.
