Two Additional Judges Sworn in at Andhra Pradesh High Court

Two newly appointed additional judges, Justice Avadhani Hari Hara Nath Sharma and Justice Dr. Yedavalli Lakshmana Rao, were sworn in at the Andhra Pradesh High Court. Chief Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur administered the oath of office on Friday. With this, the number of judges in the High Court has increased to 30.
The Supreme Court Collegium, headed by Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, had recently recommended their elevation as additional judges to the High Court. Acting on this recommendation, President Droupadi Murmu approved their appointments on January 22.
The swearing-in ceremony took place in the first court hall of the High Court and was attended by several dignitaries, including Justice Dheeraj Singh Thakur, Advocate General Dammalapati Srinivas, High Court Bar Association President K. Chidambaram, Deputy Solicitor General P. Ponnarao, Public Prosecutor Menda Lakshminarayana, Additional Advocate General I. Sambasiva Pratap, High Court Registrar General (FAC) Srinivasa Shivaram, and several other registrars, members of the Bar Association, and Bar Council.
