Manda Krishna Madiga's Illegal Constructions Demolished

Authorities demolished an illegal construction belonging to Manda Krishna Madiga, founder-president of the MRPS (Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi), in Warangal district. The structure, located on Hunter Road, Survey Number 125K in Hanamkonda, was removed by the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation staff yesterday.
Two-and-a-half years ago, a woman named Namburi Charumathi filed a complaint with the authorities, alleging that Manda Krishna Madiga, along with Jyoti and Iddayya, had encroached on her 400-square-yard plot on Hunter Road and undertaken illegal construction. Following an investigation, officials concluded that the complaint was valid, and demolition orders were issued as early as September 2022.
However, the demolition faced delays, prompting Charumathi to approach the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). The NHRC then set a deadline for the removal of the illegal construction. Meanwhile, Manda Krishna Madiga sought relief from the High Court, requesting that the NHRC orders be overturned. The High Court, however, did not rule in his favor.
Subsequently, the municipal staff carried out the demolition of the unauthorized structures yesterday in compliance with the directives.
