Former Chief Minister KCR's Sister Passes Away

Chetti Sakalamma, the sister of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief and former Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), passed away last night at the age of 82. She had been undergoing treatment at a hospital in Hyderabad for health complications. Her condition worsened, leading to her demise.
Sakalamma was KCR’s fifth sister and hailed from Pedir, a village in Ellareddypet Mandal, Sircilla district. Her husband, Hanumanth Rao, passed away a few years ago. She is survived by three sons. Upon learning of her passing, prominent BRS leaders, including K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), Harish Rao, and Kavitha, visited the hospital to pay their respects.
Her funeral is scheduled to take place today. In light of her demise, a meeting planned for today involving party MLAs, MLCs, corporators, and other senior leaders has been postponed.
