Umar Nazir Mir Shines: Dismissing Star Batsmen Including Rohit Sharma in Ranji Trophy

For a while now, Indian team Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma has been struggling with his form. In an attempt to regain his previous form, he has been playing domestic cricket. Today, in the Ranji match against the Jammu and Kashmir team, Hitman stepped up to bat for Mumbai but failed once again, scoring only three runs before being dismissed.

Alongside Rohit, Mumbai’s star batsmen Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube, and Hardik Tamore were all dismissed by the same bowler, Umar Nazir Mir. The 31-year-old fast bowler from Jammu and Kashmir caused havoc for the Mumbai batsmen in today's match, making sure they never settled at the crease.

Umar Nazir Mir, with his excellent pace and ability to bounce the ball, lured Hitman into a short-pitched delivery that led to his dismissal. He then went on to send Hardik Tamore back to the pavilion. Umar bowled an excellent delivery to get Mumbai captain Ajinkya Rahane out, and clean bowled Shivam Dube on the first ball he faced, which was the highlight of his performance.

Through this brilliant bowling display, Umar decimated the Mumbai innings and instantly became the talk of the town. His impressive performance, taking down star batsmen, has garnered praise across the internet.

Standing at six feet four inches tall, Umar Nazir Mir effortlessly delivers the ball, making the most of his height advantage.

Having started his first-class cricket career in 2013, he has played 57 matches and taken 138 wickets to date. In List-A cricket, he has claimed 32 wickets in 54 T20 matches.

Hailing from Pulwama, Umar made it to the India-C squad for the 2018-19 Deodhar Trophy but has yet to secure a spot in Team India.
