Amit Shah Promises Triple Progress for Andhra Pradesh Under Modi and Chandrababu Naidu

Union Minister Amit Shah visited Andhra Pradesh today, participating as the chief guest at the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) Foundation Day celebrations held in Kondapavuluru, Krishna district. During the event, he inaugurated the newly constructed National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) campus. In his speech, Amit Shah humorously apologized for his inability to address the audience in Telugu, eliciting smiles from the crowd.

Amit Shah expressed gratitude to the people of Andhra Pradesh for their support, which resulted in a historic electoral victory for the NDA. He assured that the central government remains committed to supporting Andhra Pradesh’s development. Criticizing the previous state government, he claimed it had caused extensive destruction akin to a human disaster. However, Shah emphasized that the NDA coalition had stepped in to rescue the state and rebuild its future.

He assured the audience that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh would achieve threefold progress. Shah highlighted that over the past six months, the central government had provided financial assistance worth ₹3 lakh crore to the state. Among the initiatives mentioned, he noted a financial package of ₹11,440 crore for the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, emphasizing its connection to the self-respect of Andhra Pradesh and ensuring its continued progress.

Shah also criticized the previous government for shelving the Amaravati capital project. He reaffirmed the NDA's commitment to Amaravati, explaining that ₹27,000 crore has been sanctioned for its construction through HUDCO. He further stated that he had discussions with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu regarding the Polavaram project, promising that water would flow to all parts of the state through the project by 2028.

The Union Minister underscored Prime Minister Modi’s steadfast support for Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in ensuring Andhra Pradesh’s development. Shah also revealed that Visakhapatnam has attracted ₹2 lakh crore in green hydrogen investments and that the Visakhapatnam railway zone has been operationalized, enhancing the state’s infrastructure and economy.
