KTR Appears Before ED for Questioning; Tensions Rise Outside ED Office

BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning in connection with the Formula E car race case. KTR traveled directly from his residence to the ED office in Hyderabad.

In preparation for the situation, a heavy police presence was deployed at the ED office, with approximately 200 personnel stationed to ensure order. Despite these measures, a large number of BRS leaders and supporters gathered near the office in a show of solidarity. This led to clashes as police attempted to control the crowd, resulting in heightened tensions at the site. Authorities detained several individuals involved in the commotion and transported them to Goshamahal Stadium.

In the ongoing investigation, the ED had previously questioned IAS officer Arvind Kumar and former HMDA Chief Engineer B.L.N. Reddy. Statements provided by these officials reportedly formed the basis for the ED's questioning of KTR. Entry to the ED office was restricted, with only KTR being permitted inside for the proceedings.
