APSRTC Bus Collides with Wall on Tirumala Ghat Road

A road accident occurred today on the second ghat road leading to Tirumala. An APSRTC bus traveling from Tirupati to Tirumala lost control after passing Harini Vanam and collided with a parapet wall along the ghat road. Several passengers on board sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The accident led to a traffic jam stretching over a kilometer on the second ghat road. TTD officials responded promptly, and the bus was removed using a poclain machine, allowing traffic to resume smoothly.

Witnesses expressed concerns that a major mishap was averted due to the strength of the parapet wall, as the bus could have otherwise fallen into a deep valley nearby. Pilgrims were alarmed by the potential severity of the situation.
