Telugu States Abuzz with Bhogi Festivities
People across the Telugu states celebrated the Bhogi festival with great enthusiasm. From early morning, children and adults gathered in the streets to light traditional Bhogi bonfires. Singing Bhogi songs and dancing, the revelers added to the festive atmosphere. Youth, children, and elders dressed in traditional attire took part in the celebrations in both villages and cities. Women adorned the streets with vibrant rangoli designs, while decorated Basavanna bulls accompanied by Haridasas went door to door.
Public representatives and political leaders joined various Bhogi celebrations in different regions, extending their greetings to the people. A large crowd gathered at the Bhogi bonfire event organized at RK Beach Road in Visakhapatnam. With many city dwellers heading to their native places for Sankranti, the villages witnessed a lively festive atmosphere. Meanwhile, devotees visited temples early in the morning and participated in special prayers, resulting in a bustling environment at the temples.
