CM Chandrababu Launches Piped Natural Gas Supply in Tiruchanur

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu visited Tiruchanur in Tirupati district today, where he officially launched a piped natural gas supply system to households. During this event, he also inaugurated CNG vehicles, emphasizing the government’s commitment to creating a pollution-free society. Speaking on the occasion, Chandrababu Naidu highlighted that revolutionary changes are underway in the energy sector and reiterated the promise to provide clean fuel directly to homes through a pipeline network.
The Chief Minister stated that similar pipeline-based natural gas supply systems are already operational in five states under AG&P Pratham-Think Gas. He disclosed that the groundwork for this initiative in Andhra Pradesh was laid during 2014-19, with plans aimed at supplying natural gas to 9.9 million households. To implement this large-scale project, five companies were consulted, and the pipeline network will initially be expanded in Rayalaseema districts.
Chandrababu Naidu pointed out that Andhra Pradesh has abundant natural resources, yet much of the gas produced in the state is utilized by other states. He asserted that the state is poised to emerge as a key player in clean and green energy. Expressing optimism about Andhra Pradesh's potential, he said, "The world is progressing towards clean energy, and AP will soon transform into a green energy hub." He further added that green energy has numerous benefits and revealed plans to export green hydrogen in the future.
