It’s Exciting to See Such a Large Project Being Constructed: Pawan Kalyan

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan visited Orvakallu in Kurnool district today, where he inspected the Greenko Solar Park via an aerial survey. He observed both the solar park and the pumped storage project sites by helicopter before proceeding to inspect the project on the ground by road.

Speaking to the media on this occasion, Pawan Kalyan expressed his joy at witnessing the construction of a massive project spread over 2,800 acres in the state. He stated, “It’s exciting to see such a large-scale project being developed in our state.” He also highlighted that such an integrated project is unprecedented in the country.

He further mentioned that Greenko, an internationally renowned company in the solar power sector, is investing ₹1.5 lakh crore in India, of which ₹35,000 crore is being invested in Andhra Pradesh. Pawan Kalyan emphasized that this investment would create employment opportunities for lakhs of people through Greenko’s solar power initiatives.

Regarding land-related issues, he noted that there was a minor dispute between the Revenue Department and the Forest Department over the project’s land. He stated that they had requested the central government to resolve the matter amicably.

Pawan Kalyan also remarked that the Greenko Solar Park project has the potential to become a major tourist attraction in the future. He expressed hope that the central government would provide adequate support for the project. He pointed out that ₹12,000 crore had already been invested, and the project would bring recognition not only to the district and the state but also to the entire country.

Additionally, he urged the company to undertake various social welfare initiatives under its CSR funds. He appealed for efforts in building schools, promoting organic farming, and increasing cattle breeding.
