Bihar Police Bust Fraudulent Scheme Targeting Men for Pregnancy Jobs

A scam has emerged in Nawada district, Bihar, where fraudsters targeted men under the guise of lucrative offers to assist childless women. The scheme operated through Facebook advertisements for "All India Pregnant Job Service" and "Playboy Service." The ads promised ₹13 lakh to men for helping women conceive and assured ₹5 lakh even in cases of failure.
Many unsuspecting men were drawn to the opportunity, believing it to be genuine. The scammers collected personal identification documents such as PAN cards, Aadhaar cards, and other sensitive details from the victims. Initially, a registration fee of ₹799 was charged. Subsequently, additional payments were demanded under various pretexts, including registration, hotel bookings, and security deposits, with amounts reaching up to ₹20,000.
When some victims refused or hesitated to pay, the fraudsters resorted to blackmail, extracting significant sums of money. Alarmed by these tactics, several victims reported the matter to the police, prompting an investigation.
The police arrested eight suspects, including Prince Raj, Bhola Kumar, and Rahul Kumar. They also seized six mobile phones containing incriminating evidence, such as photographs of victims, WhatsApp chats, audio recordings, and details of financial transactions.
