KTR: "I Am KCR’s Son, Ready to Die for Telangana"
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) departed from his residence on Thursday to appear before the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for an inquiry. KTR was accompanied by his lawyer Ramachandra Rao and a group of senior BRS leaders. Before heading to the ACB office, KTR addressed the media gathered outside his residence, delivering a strong statement regarding the ongoing political allegations against him.
Speaking to reporters, KTR said, "As a son of Telangana, a fighter who participated in the struggle for statehood, and as a soldier of K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), I have worked tirelessly to enhance the prestige of Telangana and put Hyderabad on the global map as a minister. Hosting events like the Formula E car race was part of these efforts. During the ten years of BRS governance, we have not awarded multi-crore contracts to our relatives or acquired luxury vehicles like Land Cruisers through corruption. I have not engaged in even a single paisa of corruption."
KTR alleged that the Congress party was attempting to tarnish his image for political gain. He accused CM Revanth Reddy of using diversionary tactics by filing false cases. "Congress is trying to gain political mileage by slinging mud. Revanth Reddy wants to divert attention by filing cases against me. But let me be clear—we are not afraid. I will not bow before scoundrels. File as many cases as you want; we have faith in the judiciary and will fight all allegations legally," KTR stated.
Dismissing the allegations of quid pro quo, KTR firmly asserted that he had done nothing wrong. He took a direct swipe at Revanth Reddy, saying, "I am not like you, Revanth Reddy, who was caught red-handed in corruption. I have not indulged in low-level, shady activities like you. The truth will ultimately prevail. I proudly say that I am KCR's son. If necessary, I will sacrifice my life for Telangana."
