Chandrababu Seeks Modi’s Support for Amaravati and Polavaram Projects

In a public meeting held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu heaped praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing him as a globally admired leader. Chandrababu lauded Modi's initiatives, emphasizing his focus on development, welfare, reforms, and good governance.

He highlighted the significance of laying foundation stones and inaugurating projects worth ₹2,08,548 crores in a single day, calling it a record. Chandrababu remarked, “Our thought processes align,” underscoring the shared vision between the two leaders.

“Modi Ji, you have always made development-oriented decisions. We draw inspiration from you. It was under your guidance that the foundation stone for Amaravati was laid. With your blessings, we will complete the capital and invite you to inaugurate it. We request you to visit Amaravati once. You also prioritize interlinking rivers, and under your leadership, we will complete the Polavaram project. We are initiating the interlinking of rivers with your blessings and will ensure its successful completion,” he said.

Chandrababu expressed gratitude to Modi for bringing a BPCL project to the underdeveloped region of Ramayapatnam, stating, “The people of Andhra Pradesh thank you.” He further mentioned that Google representatives had expressed interest in investing in artificial intelligence in Visakhapatnam.

“When Google officials met me, they inquired if there would be a possibility of future tax hikes. During my recent meeting with the Prime Minister, I brought up this concern. The PM assured me that there would be no changes in the policies introduced by the government, encouraging bold progress. What more could the people of Visakhapatnam ask for?” Chandrababu stated.

Highlighting a shared ethos, Chandrababu remarked, “Modi Ji, your school and my school are the same. It’s fortunate for the state to have a leader who believes in completing tomorrow’s tasks today. Comprehensive development across all regions is the hallmark of the NDA government. Industrial parks have come up in areas like Kopparthi and Orvakallu. As promised before elections, we will provide 20 lakh jobs for the youth.”

He further elaborated, “Narendra Modi’s vision is a developed India, and our vision is a golden Andhra Pradesh. If the Prime Minister positions the country as a global leader, Andhra Pradesh must achieve top status in India by 2047. Economic reforms began in 1991, and now, at the right time, Modi has become the Prime Minister, driving India forward.”

No Room for Failures

Chandrababu urged the continuation of progressive governance, cautioning against disruptions by "destructive rulers." He credited Modi for demonstrating how sustained governance can achieve significant development.

“If the NDA is strong, the nation is strong. Similarly, if the coalition here is stable, Andhra Pradesh will flourish,” he stated.

He endorsed the concept of a “double-engine government,” wherein state and central governments work cohesively to achieve double-digit growth and eradicate poverty. “On behalf of the coalition, I promise to prioritize building a society free of poverty and economic disparities. This is just the first step. From now on, there will only be victories, no failures,” Chandrababu concluded.
