ACB Summons KTR Over Formula E Case Probe

Former minister and BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has been issued notices by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with the ongoing investigation into the Formula E Racing case. The ACB has summoned KTR to appear for questioning on January 6 at 10 a.m., which falls on the upcoming Monday.

The investigation focuses on an agreement signed between the Telangana Municipal Department and Formula E Operations Limited during the tenure of the BRS government. Alleged violations in the execution of this agreement have prompted further scrutiny. The ACB has gathered substantial information from various officials, including multiple rounds of questioning with Danam Kishore, the Principal Secretary of the Municipal Administration Department.

Recently, the ACB conducted a seven-hour interrogation of Danam Kishore, collecting crucial details related to the case. The ongoing probe is reportedly being advanced based on the evidence and statements provided by him, which ultimately led to the issuance of notices to KTR.

According to initial findings, the ACB believes that significant violations occurred in the agreement based on the information collected from the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) department. Further questioning of key individuals, including potential suspects, is likely to follow.
