Tadepalligudem Youth Murdered in Goa During New Year Celebrations

A tragic incident unfolded in Goa during New Year celebrations, where a youth from Tadepalligudem, Andhra Pradesh, was killed. The victim, identified as Bolla Ravi Teja, 28, a software engineer from Hyderabad, had traveled to Goa with seven friends last Saturday to celebrate the New Year.

On Monday night, the group spent time at Calangute Beach before heading to Marina Beach Shack restaurant for dinner. The issue began when a female companion of the group questioned the high prices at the restaurant. This led to an altercation involving the restaurant staff. Subet Silveira, the son of the restaurant owner, allegedly behaved inappropriately with the woman, escalating the conflict.

Amid the argument, some staff members reportedly attacked Ravi Teja with sticks, causing severe head injuries. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot. Following the incident, the Andhra Pradesh government intervened to transport Ravi Teja's body back to Tadepalligudem via a special flight.

The Goa Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
