Key Decisions by Cabinet Sub-Committee on Rythu Bharosa
The Telangana government is set to begin accepting applications for the Rythu Bharosa scheme soon. A cabinet sub-committee convened today to discuss and finalize recommendations for the state cabinet regarding the scheme. Several key decisions were made during the meeting, including the resolution to provide Rythu Bharosa benefits to every farmer engaged in cultivation.
The committee recommended against imposing restrictions on IT payment eligibility and landholding limits for the scheme. It also decided to start collecting applications from farmers. The sub-committee, chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, includes ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, and Sridhar Babu as its members. This sub-committee has met multiple times to deliberate on the scheme's framework.
Officials plan to identify cultivated lands through surveys and satellite mapping. The application process is expected to commence between January 5 and 7, with the government planning to distribute Rythu Bharosa benefits after the Sankranti festival. The final decision regarding the implementation of the scheme is anticipated to be made during the cabinet meeting scheduled for the day after tomorrow.
