I Have No High Command: Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu attended a pension distribution program today (December 31) in Yellamanda village, Palnadu district. He personally distributed cash to pension beneficiaries, going door-to-door during the event.

Addressing a gathering in the village, Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the power of the people, stating that anything is achievable when citizens work together. "I have no high command. The five crore people of Andhra Pradesh are my high command," he asserted.

The Chief Minister lamented the destruction he witnessed over the past five years, claiming it to be unprecedented in his lifetime. He accused the previous government of misusing central funds, exploiting all systems, and rendering them ineffective. He further alleged that during the YSR Congress Party's rule, companies fled the state, while his government was now bringing them back one by one. "We have freed the people from a destructive regime," he stated.

Chandrababu Naidu warned against harassment on social media, particularly targeting women. He promised strict action, saying, "Anyone posting obscene content about women on social media will face severe consequences." He added, "I will be kind to good people but will not tolerate those who deviate from the path."

Discussing water resources, the Chief Minister announced plans to eliminate water scarcity through river-linking projects and initiated the Jalaharathi scheme. He declared the coalition government's commitment to transforming Andhra Pradesh into a drought-free state. The state also plans to use drones in agriculture to benefit farmers, ensuring they face no hardships in the future.

Highlighting governance achievements, Chandrababu Naidu mentioned removing the garbage tax immediately after taking office and pledged to make Andhra Pradesh a state with pothole-free roads. He noted the cancellation of Government Order No. 217, which allegedly harmed fishermen’s livelihoods, and detailed the establishment of 198 Anna Canteens to combat hunger among the poor, with plans for further expansion.
