India’s 2025 Cricket Schedule: Full Details of Matches and Tournaments

As the world prepares to bid farewell to 2024, Indian cricket enthusiasts have much to celebrate. Team India’s performance this year was commendable, highlighted by their ICC T20 World Cup victory after a 17-year wait for an ICC trophy. They also secured several bilateral series wins. However, the year concluded with a loss in the Melbourne Test.

In 2025, Team India embarks on its cricketing journey with renewed vigor. The year begins on January 3 with a Test match against Australia in Sydney, part of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After the series, the Test specialists will take a break, making way for the T20 team led by Suryakumar Yadav to host England for a five-match T20 series. Before the ICC Champions Trophy, India will also play ODI series against two teams.

The ICC Champions Trophy will follow a hybrid model, with India’s matches scheduled in Dubai. Post-Champions Trophy, the Indian Premier League (IPL) will run from March 14 to late May. If India qualifies, they will compete in the World Test Championship Final at Lord’s on June 11. October will see India hosting the Asia Cup in the T20 format, followed by several bilateral series from August to December, including 13 T20 matches.
