Techie Arrested for Selling Ganja in Hyderabad Suburb

A software engineer from Hyderabad was apprehended for selling ganja at the Vasanth Nagar bus stop in Kukatpally. Bharat Ramesh Babu, the accused, resorted to drug peddling due to his inability to manage expenses stemming from bad habits. The Excise Special Task Force (STF) officers seized 1.1 kilograms of ganja from him during the operation.

According to the authorities, Santosh, a resident of Khammam district, regularly supplied ganja to Ramesh Babu for distribution. On Friday, when Santosh delivered ganja brought from Khammam to Ramesh Babu, STF officers intercepted the transaction. However, Santosh managed to escape while handing over the contraband, evading police custody.

In addition to the ganja, a mobile phone was recovered from Ramesh Babu. Excise Enforcement Director VV Kamalasan Reddy and STF DSP Tirupati Yadav commended the police team for their swift action in apprehending the accused.
