Manmohan Singh’s Contributions Are Unforgettable: Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed deep sorrow over the demise of former Prime Minister and architect of India’s economic reforms, Dr. Manmohan Singh. In a heartfelt tweet, Pawan Kalyan stated, “I am deeply shocked to learn about the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh. I pray for his soul to rest in peace.”

Describing Dr. Singh as a visionary economist, a distinguished statesman, and a recipient of the Padma Vibhushan, Pawan Kalyan highlighted his pivotal role in reshaping India’s economic trajectory. He credited Singh’s tenure as Finance Minister under Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao for introducing the landmark LPG (Liberalization, Privatization, and Globalization) reforms, which laid the foundation for a modern and progressive India.

Pawan Kalyan emphasized that the reforms initiated by P.V. Narasimha Rao and Dr. Manmohan Singh rescued the nation from a severe economic crisis, restored stability, and propelled India onto the global stage.

Recalling Dr. Singh’s tenure as Prime Minister during the UPA government, Pawan Kalyan mentioned transformative initiatives such as the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), the Right to Information Act (RTI), and the Right to Education (RTE). These programs, he stated, positively impacted millions of lives and demonstrated Dr. Singh’s unwavering commitment to public service and national development.

Pawan Kalyan further remarked, “Dr. Manmohan Singh’s intellect, integrity, and dedication to public welfare established him as a tireless leader devoted to the nation’s progress. His work will continue to inspire generations. His silence often spoke louder than words.”

He concluded by extending his condolences to Dr. Singh’s family and friends, praying for their strength during this difficult time.
