Sajjala Bhargava Reddy Gets Temporary Relief from Andhra Pradesh High Court

Andhra Pradesh High Court granted temporary relief to YSRCP leader Sajjala Bhargava Reddy in a case related to objectionable social media posts against political leaders Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh. Bhargava Reddy had filed a quash petition seeking dismissal of the cases registered against him.

Senior advocate and YSRCP leader Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy argued on behalf of Bhargava Reddy, stating that the case lacked legal merit. He informed the court that none of the individuals mentioned in the alleged posts had filed complaints, and the cases were based on claims made by unrelated third parties. He further argued that non-bailable sections were invoked instead of relevant IT sections.

In response, the High Court directed the police to issue notices under Section 35(3) of the BNS Act. The court postponed the next hearing to the first week of February, extending its previous order preventing any action against Bhargava Reddy until then.
