Class 7 Student Ends Life After Teacher’s Harassment in Narayana High School Hostel
A shocking incident occurred at Narayana High School, where a Class 7 student reportedly died by suicide after being forced to endure physical punishment orchestrated by the physics teacher through the class leader. The student, identified as Lohith, was found hanging in his hostel room on Monday night. His parents alleged that the school management failed to inform them about the incident. In response, they staged a protest along with relatives outside the school, demanding justice for their son's death.
According to the police and the victim's family, Lohith was studying in Class 7 at Narayana Residential School in the Hayathnagar police jurisdiction near Hyderabad. On Monday, his physics teacher reportedly scolded him and ordered the class leader to hit him. Deeply distressed by the incident, Lohith took the extreme step around 11 PM in his hostel room. His fellow students noticed and alerted the warden, who attempted to rescue him and rushed him to the hospital. Unfortunately, Lohith was declared dead upon arrival, prompting the school management to inform the police.
Lohith's parents, residents of Shanayipalli village, Revally Mandal, Vanaparthi district, stated that they learned about their son’s death only after being informed by the police. His father, Madhusudhan Reddy, accused the physics teacher of harassment and demanded strict action against both the teacher and the school management for negligence.
