Anil Kumble Denies Social Media Posts Criticizing Indian Team

Former Indian cricket captain and coach Anil Kumble has clarified that he has no connection with certain social media posts circulating under his name regarding the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Responding to false reports featuring his photo, Kumble took to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) to deny making any such comments.

Some individuals reportedly used Kumble’s image in fake online stories criticizing the performance of Indian players in the third Test match currently underway in Brisbane. The fabricated reports alleged that Kumble harshly criticized captain Rohit Sharma's leadership and Virat Kohli’s batting failures.

Dismissing these claims, Kumble issued a firm clarification on ‘X,’ saying:

“It has come to my attention that some social media accounts are attributing false comments to me using my photo. I have no connection with those accounts or the statements they are spreading. Please do not believe everything you see on social media. Verify information before sharing it. Trust only updates from my official social media accounts. I urge everyone to stay alert against such misinformation,” Kumble tweeted.
