Indian Film ‘All We Imagine as Light’ Nominated for Golden Globe Awards
‘All We Imagine as Light,’ directed by Payal Kapadia, has earned a prestigious nomination for the Golden Globe Awards. The film, centered on the lives of two nurses working in a Mumbai nursing home, has already garnered several accolades and now aims for another milestone. It secured nominations in two major categories: Best Non-English Language Motion Picture and Best Director, placing it in competition with prominent Hollywood productions.
The 82nd Golden Globe Awards ceremony is scheduled for January 5 next year, with the official nominations announced via social media by the award jury.
Previously, the film received five nominations at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards and won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival, making it the first Indian film to achieve this distinction. Historically, only a limited number of Indian films have earned Golden Globe nominations, underscoring the significance of this recognition.
In the past, the Indian film RRR competed in the Best Non-English Language Film and Best Original Song (Naatu Naatu) categories at the Golden Globes, ultimately winning for its song. The film later secured an Oscar in the Best Original Song category, adding to its international acclaim.
