Lanka Dinakar Lauds Pawan Kalyan’s Bold Move at Kakinada Port

BJP leader Lanka Dinakar praised Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan's decisive action against illegal rice exports from Kakinada Port. Speaking to the media today, Dinakar described Kalyan’s intervention as inspirational and emphasized its significance in curbing unlawful activities.

Dinakar referred to the government's formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe rice smuggling from Kakinada Port, stating that it would block the operations of the mafia involved. He noted that the creation of the SIT has already made offenders more cautious.

Highlighting welfare initiatives from past and present governments, Dinakar recalled that former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao introduced subsidized rice at ₹2 per kilogram to address poverty. He also acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, which provided free rice to the needy during the COVID-19 crisis.

Dinakar alleged that while the government doubled rice distribution to combat hunger during the pandemic, smugglers illegally exported the surplus from Kakinada Port. He warned that after the SIT report, legal action would be taken against those responsible for the smuggling operations.
