Kannada actress Shobhita found dead in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Dec 1: Kannada  actress Shobhita Shivanna was found dead at her residence in Hyderabad under suspicious circumstances on Sunday.

The 29-year-old actress was discovered hanging from the ceiling of her apartment in Sriram Nagar Colony, Gachibowli. Upon receiving information from neighbors, police arrived at the scene and confirmed her death.

Shobhita’s body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital, a government-run facility, for an autopsy.

Known for her performances in popular television serials like Brahmagantu and Ninidale, Shobhita had also appeared in a few films. Originally from Sakleshpur in Karnataka's Hassan district, she got married last year and had been staying away from the entertainment industry since her marriage. She was living in Hyderabad with her husband, Sudheer.

The reasons for Shobhita’s alleged suicide remain unknown. The Gachibowli police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to her death. Statements from her family, friends, and neighbors are being recorded as part of the inquiry.

Shobhita's body will be transported to Bengaluru, where her family resides, for final rites.
