Hydra Commissioner Cracks Down on Illegal Constructions in Edulakunta
Hydra Commissioner Ranganath directed officials today to ensure that no construction activities are undertaken until a thorough survey is conducted and boundaries are clearly identified for the Edulakunta area. The Commissioner inspected the Edulakunta Lake in Madhapur, where he noted irregularities.
The lake, spanning 6.5 guntas in Khanamet village, has been partially encroached upon by builders, who filled parts of the lake and diverted the inlet water channels.
Commissioner Ranganath identified that some builders had used forged documents to obtain construction permits. He also confirmed that ongoing constructions were based on these illegally obtained permits.
In response, the Commissioner instructed officials to halt all construction activities in the area until the survey is completed and the boundaries of the lake are accurately demarcated.
